The M249 is not often seen in the hands of players, although it is available to both terrorists and special forces. Along with the Negev, it is one of two machine guns introduced in CS2, but due to its heavy weight and high recoil, it is not easy to use effectively and is hardly used in competitive mode. However, it too has its advantages, including the ability to shoot through walls and high damage. Of course, the developers do not ignore this weapon model, adding bright skins for it. Here are just a few of them:
M249Emerald Poison Dart
TheM249 Emerald Poison Dart, added to the game in 2017, is colored in various shades of dark green. But it's not just protective coloring: the pattern of green, black and yellow spots and stripes is actually inspired by the coloring of the emerald poison frog. So to the knowledgeable person, this design looks truly menacing and perfectly suited for a powerful weapon.
M249Blizzard Marbleized
Another inexpensive skin for this machine gun model M249 Blizzard Marbleized will appeal to fans of minimalistic designs. The texture is in gray and white tones and resembles a thick snowstorm. The combination of colors and their arrangement give the impression that the surface is made of marble.
M249System Lock
.And if you prefer contrasting color combinations, check out M249 System Lock. This design, added back in 2015, is still in demand. The combination of black with various shades of red makes it particularly distinctive. Plus, the authors did a great job on the fine details by adding white lettering and icons.
M249 Downtown
M249 Downtown is one of the most interesting skins for the machine gun. It was added in 2022 and, unlike most colorings for this weapon, is in blue and purple tones. A graffiti-style drawing fills most of the case and features arrows pointing in different directions. Perhaps the randomness of this design reflects the difficulty of handling this weapon. However, two of them are still directed towards the enemy.
M249Magma
.Not without a skin with a fire pattern. It's a M249 Magma painted in black and orange tones. The texture that covers most of the hull depicts volcanic magma spreading out of cracks and engulfing everything around it. How exactly the pattern is placed on the weapon model depends on the pattern index, but all variations are valued about the same.
