The float value in CS2 usually greatly affects the price of items: skins in "Factory New" or "Minimal Wear" condition are valued higher than others, as the higher the float value, the more worn and less visible the pattern becomes. However, there are exceptions — skins that look just as good, or even better, as the float increases. We have already written about some of these before. It's especially nice to find such items among knives, as purchasing a higher float variant is an excellent way to save money.
Karambit Rust Coat
Due to its unique shape, any Karambit knife is quite expensive. The Rust Coat version is a great way to add this knife to your collection at a more affordable price. Like other Rust Coat knives, it comes in two conditions: "Well-Worn" and "Battle-Scarred," which differ in how prominently the rust appears on the surface.
Huntsman Knife Black Laminate
Huntsman Knife Black Laminate is another great option if you don't want to pay extra for a low float value. Signs of wear on this knife mainly show as scuffs on the handle and a darkening of the blade, making the difference in wear level barely noticeable. And if you're willing to spend more, you can also consider other knives with the Black Laminate finish, such as the M9 Bayonet, as higher float versions offer significant savings as well.
Gut Knife Autotronic
Another relatively affordable option is the Gut Knife Autotronic in "Well-Worn" or "Battle-Scarred" condition. Unlike most other knife finishes, Autotronic does not get scratched with higher float values but instead darkens from scarlet to dark red. Additionally, the Gut Knife's combination of blade and red handle looks the most harmonious since they have almost equal surface area. Another great item with the same finish is the Bowie Knife Autotronic, where the red coating covers a significant portion of the blade.
Bayonet Blue Steel
With the Bayonet Blue Steel, wear is quite noticeable, but with its realistic finish, it hardly seems like a drawback. On the contrary, according to some players, knives with the Blue Steel coating in "Battle-Scarred" condition look even more striking and contrasted.
Talon Knife Crimson Web
Typically, scratches and scuffs on Crimson Web knives stand out significantly, disrupting the delicate web pattern. However, the Talon Knife Crimson Web is a fortunate exception: the scuffs appear in such a way that they don't clash much with the pattern, and instead, they highlight the shape of the blade. The same applies to the Skeleton Knife Crimson Web.
Falchion Knife Night
Falchion Knife Night is interesting because it looks best either with the lowest float values, in perfect condition, or with the highest float, where most of the paint is gone. The latter option is, of course, significantly cheaper.
